Real Talk

Real Talk is a rangatahi-focused mental health initiative that creates safe spaces for open, honest conversations about mental wellbeing.

In collaboration with Te Wāhi Tiaki Tātou, Real Talk extends its reach within Porirua and surrounding areas, ensuring that mental health support is not only accessible but also culturally responsive.

The initiative is driven by the values of manaakitanga (care and respect), whanaungatanga (connection), and tino rangatiratanga (self-determination), reinforcing the importance of holistic wellbeing in our communities.

About Real Talk

By providing a platform for youth voices, Real Talk empowers young people to share their stories, break down stigma, and support each other in their journeys.

With a focus on real experiences, peer-led support, and professional guidance, Real Talk is more than a programme—it’s a movement to uplift rangatahi and create a future where mental health is prioritised and nurtured.

Investing in Youth Wellbeing

Real Talk fosters safe, supportive environments where rangatahi can openly discuss mental health challenges and solutions.

Breaking Down Barriers

The initiative provides accessible, culturally grounded mental health support, ensuring no young person is left behind.

Community- Led Change

With rangatahi at its heart, Real Talk is a grassroots movement that prioritises youth voices and real experiences.

Together, We Can Make a Difference

By supporting Real Talk, you contribute to a stronger, healthier, and more connected community.
